Mick Homan for IVGID Trustee

Work Experience

I retired in 2022 as the Chief Accounting Officer of The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G).  Here is a brief overview of my professional career:

  • The Procter & Gamble Company (1996-2022) – Progressed from Director of External Reporting to Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer, with roles in headquarters and operating business units in the U.S. and abroad.

  • Fifth Third Bank (2001-2002) – Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions

  • Deloitte/Arthur Anderson (1984-2006) -   Staff through Senior Manager, Audit and Assurances practice

I will advocate for fiscally responsible investment in utility infrastructure/services and community-owned recreational facilities and programs to make our community an attractive place to live, work and invest.

I will advocate for an operating model for recreational facilities that has made the community successful over the past decades, one that manages and optimizes the facilities as a portfolio for the benefit of the community and its residents as a whole.

I will prioritize rebuilding and investing in IVGID staff, making IVGID an employer of choice, and an attractive place to start and develop a successful career.

I will work to improve the state of IVGID’s finances by strengthening both our financial reporting (through implementation of needed improvements to our systems, processes and controls), and our financial health (through strategy-driven, longer term planning that better balances funding capabilities with spending priorities).
